Trainer battles are challenging hence my number of deaths! The totem pokemon are an interesting and unique move away from gym leaders, and although add elements of difficulty (allies and auras), a focus on preparation and strategy can overcome these. I feel the difficulty is refined from X and Y to provide a more steady level curve throughout the game without the need for as much grinding in between each town (more on use of the exp share below). Overall, this was a tremendously fun game to nuzlocke. I hope this might help anyone who is approaching a new Sun/Moon nuzlocke and would like a place to start with rules. If your pokemon faints, it's dead and you have to release it or box it permanently.
